Photosymbols are a popular set of pictures for making easy-read information for people with a learning disability.

The pictures are made to communicate - ideas, meaning, emotions, events, activities... whatever everyday life brings. They feature real people and objects mixed with graphics; the simplicity of a symbol with the realism of photography.

Many people prefer them to traditional symbols, clipart or cartoons, because:

• They are vibrant and colourful
• They are suitable for all ages, children and adults
• They show a wide range of diverse people
• Being photo based, they are easily recognisable

Bigger and better than ever

Photosymbols 4 is now available, with special offers for upgraders. It comes with 500 new pictures bringing the total to 3,500. Many of the original pictures have also been remastered to bring them up-to-date.

Bringing it online

As well as receiving photosymbols on a USB flashdrive, you can now access the entire photosymbols library online. The online library is quicker and always up to date, allowing access to the latest pictures as soon as they become available.

Useful tools for easy-read makers

Each month we add the latest pictures, steadily building the range of subjects. Everything is stored securely on our cloud. Plus you can now upload your own photos to use alongside photosymbols in your own Photo Album.
